Plantation Island. Its name is synonymous with pristine beaches and in teen circles is known for its big party vibe. Seven kilometres of golden sand encircle this island’s coconut palms making it the perfect destination to forget the teachers and textbooks.
By day, yellow paddling boats line the blue water lagoon while thrill seekers can try out parasailing or water-skiing. Some may choose to laze around one of the three pools, hit up the golf course or feed their cultural senses by taking a trip to the Fijian shell village.
Then at night, the palm trees drip in neon lights while hundreds pack into the same sandy space as the DJs crank the hottest beats of summer. With 600 schoolies exclusively booking out this resort, this massive destination has more beaches, more activities, more bars, more parties and most of all, more schoolies!
Yes, Plantation Island has become the biggest schoolies destination outside of Australia for a reason. It’s all shades of awesome, and then some. 2014 will be no exception as we’re gearing up for it to be bigger and better than ever before.

Complimentary Fishing Trips
With keen local fisherman taking you to some reef hotspots to catch your dinner, these daily trips are awesome and free. Depart at 9am and return at 3.15pm. Don’t forget the SPF as there is no shade on the boat!
Lawn Bowls
Collect some bowls from the activities room and enjoy a game of lawn bowls on the astra turf bowling green. Bowling white not essential!
Windsurfing
It takes a lot of balancing and falling and falling again so it’s safe to say, windsurfing is not the easiest of water sports. But because it’s free, it’s worth a shot, right?
